EDUCATION GRANT

Whānau Education Grants are currently open


Every year the Trust provides up to 11 Whānau Education Grants ranging in value from $1,000 to $3,000 per annum, and paid over three years.


Education Grants are mainly for tertiary study or higher including study at the EIT or trade courses, although exceptions for other courses may be considered.

The Trust seek applications at two times of the year -

  1. September each year for those to receive a grant by 31 October (Applications close 1st week of October).
  2. February each year for those to receive a grant by 31 March (Applications close 1st week of March).

It is a requirement that grant recipients provide a brief report to the Trust at the end of each year (written or video), which could include - 

  • What you studied and where
  • How the year went
  • What you enjoyed most
  • What your plans for next year are
  • What extra curricular activities you participated in
